Italian Souvenirs is a brand new line of illustrated stationery and paper products dedicated to the cities, towns and landscapes of Italy, produced and distributed exclusively by Rossi 1931 and currently available only in Italy. The concept is simple but the execution is anything but: we wanted to create souvenirs that are genuinely beautiful, genuinely useful and genuinely worthy of the extraordinary country they represent. Objects that a traveller would be proud to send, give or keep. Objects that feel like Italy.
At the heart of the collection are stunning watercolour illustrations created exclusively for Rossi 1931 by one of Italy’s most celebrated contemporary illustrators. Each image captures the spirit of a specific place with a poet’s eye and a painter’s hand: the warm ochre facades of Florence, the shimmer of Venice on the water, the rooftops of Rome at golden hour, the quiet dignity of a hilltop Umbrian borgo. These are not generic postcard views. They are considered, original works of art, rendered in delicate colours and elegant compositions that make each one a genuine pleasure to look at.
The collection currently features 29 iconic Italian views, including Florence, Rome, Milan, Venice, Bologna, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Perugia and Assisi, with a further 16 breathtaking new illustrations already completed and ready to join the range, covering destinations including Verona, Capri, the Amalfi Coast, the Cinque Terre, Portofino, the Dolomites, Matera, Palermo and Siracusa. The collection is designed to keep growing, expanding to cover more cities, more hidden gems and more of the extraordinary visual richness of Italian life.
Each view is available across a coordinated range of beautifully made paper products: postcards for sending a greeting in the most classic and heartfelt of ways, bookmarks for carrying a piece of Italy between the pages, notebooks for capturing thoughts, sketches and travel memories, notepads for practical everyday use with a touch of Italian elegance, and pocket folders with coordinated cards and envelopes for correspondence and gifting in the finest Italian tradition. All products are printed on premium quality Italian paper with traditional printing techniques and warm gold finishes, and all are 100% Made in Italy, produced in Florence with the artisanal care that has defined Rossi 1931 since 1931. Despite this level of quality, the Italian Souvenirs line is deliberately positioned at an accessible price point, because we believe that beautiful things should be available to everyone.
For businesses, shops, museums, hotels, cultural institutions and tourist attractions the collection also offers a remarkable personalisation service. With a relatively small minimum order, any location not yet represented in the collection can commission its own exclusive watercolour illustration, created by the same artist, based on a subject of your choosing. The artwork and print setup are included in the price, making this an exceptionally accessible way to offer visitors a souvenir that is genuinely unique to your place and your story.
