Some collections don’t need an introduction, they simply need to be seen, touched, and breathed in.
Our floral decorative papers are exactly that kind of collection: a small garden captured on paper, printed with the same care and passion that has guided Rossi 1931 since 1931.
Today we want to take a closer look at four of our most beloved botanical patterns, Roses (code CRT 534), Lemons (code CRT 564), Lavender (code CRT 565), and Poppies (code CRT 583), four different ways of bringing nature’s beauty onto the page.
Roses,
There is no flower more evocative of romance and elegance than the rose, and #CRT 534 captures it in full bloom. Deep crimson, blush pink, and soft ivory roses cascade across the sheet in a dense, all-over floral composition, framed by delicate sprays of leaves and buds. It’s a design that feels timeless and generous at once, equally at home wrapping a gift, lining a keepsake box, or dressing a page of correspondence. The richness of the reds against the warm cream background gives this pattern real depth, the kind that only comes from meticulous, layered printing.
Lemons,
Sun-drenched and unmistakably Mediterranean, #CRT 564 is our tribute to the citrus groves of the Italian coast. Clusters of golden lemons hang among glossy green leaves, rendered with a botanical precision that makes the pattern feel almost illustrated by hand from life. It’s a joyful, fresh design, evoking terraces, citrus orchards, and long summer afternoons, and it has become one of the most requested prints in our floral range for exactly that reason: it captures a mood as much as a motif.
Lavender,
#CRT 565 is quieter, more delicate, but no less striking. Slender stems of lavender in soft violet and dusty purple drift diagonally across a clean ivory ground, their airy, hand-painted quality giving the whole sheet a sense of movement, almost as if a breeze were running through a Tuscan field. This is floral design at its most graceful: understated, botanical, and deeply calming, perfect for anyone drawn to a softer, more romantic palette.
Poppies,
Bold, vivid, and full of energy, #CRT 583 is our poppy pattern in its truest form: a dense field of scarlet-red blooms with dark, ink-black centers, scattered across the page alongside slender green stems and buds still closed. It’s one of our most graphic florals, striking from a distance yet full of fine detail up close, from the delicate veining on each petal to the subtle shading that gives every flower its own character. Poppies have long been a symbol of the Italian countryside in summer, and this design brings that same untamed, sun-warmed feeling to paper.
The craft behind the pattern.
What unites all four of these designs, and every pattern in our floral decorative papers collection, is the quality that has always defined Rossi 1931: fine, closely registered printing that captures every petal, leaf vein, and shading detail with real precision, and a paper stock chosen specifically for its ability to hold color richly and consistently across the full sheet. Nothing here is flat or mass-produced in feel; every print is built up with the same attention to detail as the botanical illustrations that inspire it, and every sheet is made to be handled, admired, and reused for years, whether it’s wrapping a gift, lining a drawer, or becoming part of a paper craft or bookbinding project.
Floral, botanical, romantic, Mediterranean, these decorative papers carry the language of the garden and the countryside into everyday objects, and they remain, sheet after sheet, one of the truest expressions of what Rossi 1931 stands for: Italian craftsmanship, beautiful materials, and designs that never go out of season.
