Who is Treccani, and what is the Emporium?
Treccani is a name every Italian grows up with. For nearly a century, the Istituto Treccani has been the custodian of the Italian language and culture, publisher of the legendary Enciclopedia Italiana and the Vocabolario Treccani, and a reference point for knowledge, education, and the arts across the country. Its website is among the most visited in Italy, reaching millions of readers every month.
Treccani Emporium is the natural evolution of that mission into e-commerce: a “digital shop of Italian culture,” built as a place to slow down, browse, and discover the stories behind the objects on sale, rather than simply add them to a cart. The Emporium hosts Treccani’s own editorial and stationery lines alongside a carefully chosen selection of Italian brands and artisans, each one presented with its own story, craftsmanship, and territory. Being invited into that selection, as an ambassador of Italian excellence alongside Treccani’s own name, is something we’re genuinely proud of.
What we’re bringing to the Emporium
On Treccani Emporium, we’re offering gift sets built around some of the Rossi 1931 bestsellers, so new customers can discover the collections that have defined us for generations.
The first is our Florentine boxed stationery set, available in both blue and red, the two signature colourways of our Florentine paper. Each box contains 10 sheets of writing paper and 10 correspondence cards, paired with lined envelopes that match the pattern of the box itself, so every element of the set, from the box to the last envelope, tells the same visual story. It’s the kind of set that turns letter-writing back into something considered and beautiful.
Alongside it, we’ve created a stationery set, again in blue and red, built around everyday writing: an A5 and an A6 notepad together with a hardcover notebook finished with golden gilt edges, for a touch of quiet luxury on the desk or in a bag.
Florentine decorative paper is, in many ways, the heart of everything Rossi 1931 makes. The patterns you see on these boxes descend directly from the “carta fiorentina” tradition that grew out of Florence’s Renaissance workshops, when marbled and floral papers were used to bind and decorate precious books and correspondence. We’ve kept that visual language alive for almost a century, reproducing it with traditional printing techniques and passing the designs down much as they were originally conceived, which is exactly why it remains our most recognisable and best-loved collection.

Rounding out our presence on the Emporium is a selection from Italian Souvenirs, our line dedicated to Italy’s most iconic destinations. The collection has grown to 29 views so far, each one capturing an iconic glimpse of a beloved Italian destination, from major art cities to smaller towns, and it keeps expanding. At its heart are delicate watercolour illustrations created exclusively for Rossi 1931 by one of Italy’s best-known contemporary illustrators, whose poetic images capture the spirit of each place rather than offering a generic postcard view. Every design tells a place, a mood, an emotion, a small, precious memory that can be shipped, gifted, or collected.
Everything in the line is made in Italy, in Florence, and shares the same quality of materials, care in printing, and exclusivity of design across the whole collection, whether it’s a stationery gift set or one of the small pouches with cards and matching envelopes made for special greetings and elegant invitations.
